| Hi everyone. Has asked previously, Yes I should post more and follow the site more closely but as most people, finances and time are not the same as when I bought my baby. 94 2+2. I have to replace the water pump this weekend so I am going to go ahead and do the timing belt kit while I am in there. I have seen three write-ups on the work and they were all very helpful. I am left with a few questions that my search did not turn up. 1. I have an auto transmission. Do I have to pull the starter and stick a screw driver into the flywheel area, if so why? What is the difference between a manual being in fifth gear and my auto in park. 2. I have read that some people advocate leaving the timing belt on and under tension while breaking the cam gears’ bolts. Why or why not? 3. When will the passenger side cams try to seat themselves? Is the wrapping procedure only so that when I hit the air wrench the cam doesn’t move? Thanks in advance for the advice. I have done quite a bit to the Z and I do almost all of my own work on all of my cars in the past. This will be the first time that I get this involved so I am just trying to get as much info as I can so it turns out for the better.
